Phase equilibria in the three-component system nickel–chromium–tantalum at 1375 K

Abstract

The isothermic section of the phase equilibria diagram of the Ni–Cr–Ta system has been constructed at 1375 K by means of the methods of equilibrium alloys and existence of six three-phase equilibria g-Ni+b-Cr+a-Ni3Ta; b-Cr+a-Ni3Ta+l; a-Ni3Ta+l+Ni2Ta; l+Ni2Ta+m; m+l+NiTa2è l+NiTa2+b-Ta has been established. It is shown, that both cubic, and hexagonal modifications are indicated in Laves binary phase.
Key words: nickel, chromium, tantalum, phase equilibria.
