Gas electron diffraction: the
direction of development of the method
Abstract
The
problems of modern gas phase electron diffraction experiment are under
consideration. The operating conditions for the reconstructed electron
diffraction apparatus are determined in the case of molecular beam with Kn >
1 and the effective cross section s = 1,06´102
barn. It is shown that for I2 with the pressure within evaporator
equal to 0.001 torr it is possible to define the molecular scattering intensity
up to s = 30 E–1. The
nomographic chart for the optimal choice of the operating conditions is
proposed.
