Moessbauer Study of Mixed Potassium-Sodium Ferrate(VI).

ABSTRACT. In this reports, we present the results of synthesis of a new mixed potassium-sodium ferrate(VI) with glaserite-like structure. This compound shows a well-resolved doublet in Moessbauer spectra. At room temperature, it is characterized by isomer shift delta = - 0.85(1) mm/s (relative alpha-iron), quadrupole splitting DELTA = 0.21(1) mm/s and full width at half-height Г= 0.22(1) mm/s. No magnetic ordering has been observed down to liquid helium temperature.
