APPLICATION OF MOSSBAUER SPECTROSCOPY TO SOLID STATE CHEMISTRY

General principles of nuclear gamma-resonance, hyperfine interactions and physical meaning of the main parameters of Mossbauer spectra. Mossbauer characterization of inorganic materials (structural and magnetic properties, particle size distribution control, surface phenomena).Various modes of Mossbauer spectroscopy (transmission, scattering, emission and electron conversion Mossbauer spectra). Method of Mossbauer diamagnetic probe atoms (MDPA). New possibilities for studying the atomic arrangement of surface layers and chemical reactions at the interface solid-gas using MDPA.
