Vladimir S. Gurman was born in 1924, December 26. He is participant of Great Patriotic War (1941-1945).
Vladimir S. Gurman studied at Chemical Department of MSU in 1950-1955.
In 1967 he defended PhD dissertation, which was devoted to ESR study of stabilization processes of radical products of hydrogen peroxide in water frozen solutions.
V. S. Gurman is one of the pioneers who has built hand-made ESR spectrometer and who used this method for quantitative kinetic analysis of radical processes. As specialist and recognized authority in the field of ESR spectroscopy he participated in numerous investigations in various fields of chemistry.
V. S. Gurman is a born teacher, tens of students and graduate-students worked under his guidance.
